Participants are encourage to choose a subject to study, this is the foundation of every artists learning journey. (Artist SEE, Artist DO). It could be a natural history study explores the relationship between nature and art, how artists depict plants and animals in their work. Botany or Anatomy.
A study doesn't have to be finished masterpiece. It can be a moment of curiosity, a sketch, a close-up, a little experiment with light, texture, or form. Artists have been doing it for centuries to better understand what they see and feel.
Whether it’s:
A macro photo of bark or bugs,
A pencil sketch of your sleeping dog,
A careful painting of a petal,
Architecture,
or even a sculpture
This exhibition is your chance to slow down and really look at the world, then show us what you find.
You don’t need to be a professional artist. This is perfect for students, kids, nature lovers, first-timers, and seasoned creatives alike.
Let your work be a window into your observations.
You can depict the whole subject or parts of a subject in a manner that is both aesthetically pleasing and scientifically accurate. Macro photography, photography, drawings, illustrations and paintings, critical understanding of subjects anatomy, scale, shape, texture.
Does not have to be for sale.
All sales in the gallery section 100% goes to the artist.
If you wish to sell work in retail store there is 50% mark up.
All donations are welcome to invest towards future prizes and keeping gallery doors open.
